Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is great by any means. It's amazing how much more you benefit from travelling when staying at someone's place who actually lives there. You get fast-track access to the kind of information only the locals know. It'd be very difficult to find your way to the underground totally on your own, especially in cities. Exchange of ideas - verbally/non-verbally/and whatnot is important and necessary. CS is perfect for overcoming the obvious problems of meeting and conversing with people you don't know - it gives you sort of guarantee of certain things and the amount of trust in this system is really out of the box. It gives you something to rely on while you're out of your usual comfort zone. CS is totally nonconformist in a sense that it bypasses the conventional commercial side of traveling and offers a dimension of interaction between people that'd otherwise be unlikely to happen.

I know a thing or two about developing films and photos. I have done some years of contemporary dance and taken numerous workshops like for e.g. acroyoga, contact improvisation etc - so let's dance : )
I can share my traveling experience and advice that I've deduced from the trips, like for e.g. what sort of equipment is essential and what's not (I've worked in a hiking gear store for some time).
