Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for places to visit where I can meet new people, experience new cities around the world without paying a very expensive sum for accommodation. I am willing to cook, spend time and sight see with whoever I meet as well! Currently, I am looking for a place to stay in Berkeley CA since I am going to the Animal Liberation Conference from May 29th to June 5th.
