Hello! My name is Riis and I was born and raised in Stellenbosch, about 45 minutes from Cape Town.

I am a lover of travel, photography, hiking, permaculture and riding my bicycle in this beautiful town.

I am easy going and enjoy the outdoors. Lots of places to explore in my hometown of Stellenbosch!

In 2017 and '18 I travelled by hitchhiking, wildcamping and volunteering in various eco-communities in Latin America and it was an incredible experience meeting some amazing people. Couchsurfing hosts were some of the most generous people on my trip so now I hope to give back to the community that once helped me.

Please note, I do not accept female Couchsurfers as I only have space in my bedroom to host! Sleeping arrangement is a yoga mat and sleeping bag.

To meet the locals and hear their stories. So I can learn a new language, find the hidden gems of a town and to make new friends from around the world.

I would love to practice my Spanish, learn a couple new chords on my guitar, teach about organic farming, make a local meal from your country. I enjoy listening to others about their philosophy, travel experiences and learning about you, your culture and what you enjoy. I enjoy reading through Scripture, and hearing your opinions on it.
