About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting to know more people in my new current living place (Antwerp) and meeting/hosting for couch surfers from around the world
ABOUT ME
I'm a very positive, upbeat person. I like gettogethers with friends, especially if I get to cook something up. I'm always up for drinks, movie nights, board games, sleepovers.
PHILOSOPHY
We only get 1 life, and only so many chances to make it worthwile. I will take any chance I get to do so.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to get to know my host/guest: hang out together, be shown around. After all, the hosts know what's nice about their country, they can make you see it in a way that you wouldn't if you stayed at hotels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only have one so far; a 3 week travel through Indonesia with a friend. We started in Jakarta and went all the way through Java, straigth to Bali. It was amazing! After that, I tried couch surfing in Norway, but I couldn't find a host who was free at the time. In stead, I met up with other surfers and we rented a cabin together.
Interests
I like dancing, jogging, swimming, biking, hiking.
I like reading and watching movies, series and soaps.
I
absolutely loooooove cooking and baking. Lately I've been into decorating multi layered cakes.
I love to be around children, which is why I'm doing volunteering work with kids during holidays and why I chose my job to be all about kids.
Obviously, I like to travel. I hope to see as much of the world as possible, to meet people and see their ways of living. I like to be confronted with other cultures, which is part of the reason why I live in the most ethnic neighborhood of Antwerp. Meeting new, interesting people is what really makes my day.

Music, Movies, and Books
Best book ever: 'Het Lied van Iram', about a foetus thinking about what happens after birth. I also love 'Noughts and Crosses', which is about love in the face of racism.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went traveling (and couch surfing) through Indonesia with a friend for 3 weeks. Best trip of my life! We've seen amazing things there. Beautiful nature, very different culture, totally strange foods... Plus, we've made some great friends! I would go back anytime.
In Congo I had a day
long climb up a an active volcano, on which we camped at night. We could hear the lava splashing around in the crater.
In 2014-2015 I lived in Tanzania, Africa, for 5 months while doing my internship there in an institution for children from the street.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share stories about my own country, but don't ask me about politics! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always up for getting to know my hosts: seeing how they live, what places they visit, how they experience their country. I love to hear their stories. In return I can tell stories about my own home country and the countries I've visited. I like to cook and wouldn't at all mind cooking a meal for my hosts, or cooking it together.
Countries I’ve Visited
Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Scotland, Tanzania
Countries I’ve Lived In
