ABOUT ME
I'm a Danish girl living, working and studying in Copenhagen. I enjoy meeting people from different corners of the world, learning languages and I especially enjoy engaging in new cultures when travelling to obtain a better understanding of the people and the given surroundings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First time I tried couchsurfing was in Mumbai, India. I was with 4 friends and we were really lost and didn't know where to stay, when we arrived in the airport. A random Indian guy comes to us and asks what our plans for the next few days were and as we replied that we actually didn't have any plans he asked us if we wanted to crash at his place and he could take us around the city (March, 2012).
I was in Rio for 3 weeks where my two friends and I stayed with a really cool guy and after we went to live with a great girl in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina (February, 2013)
My two friends and I surfed with a guy for a week in Buenos Aires, Argentina and were lucky to stay with the sweetest family in Santiago, Chile when we arrived there. (March, 2013)
My friend, Kristina, and I have hosted Tomek from Poland and Chris from Germany (he was living in London at the time).
On my first night in Manila (Philippines) I surfed for 3 nights at James' place in the Makati area. He has this insane, but awesome, idea that everyone can stay at his place! So he has arranged a room with bunk beds just for travelers! Often we were 4+ surfers at his house and on top of that he had his friends come over for dinner every night as he is a great cook and loves the company. I ended up staying with James every time I went to Manila which was approx. 5-6 times during my 5 months in the Philippines (August, 2015 - January, 2016)
CS is a really great way to meet people!
