About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To start my couch surfing adventure in Central/South America and hopefully learn some Spanish along the way!

ABOUT ME

My Fiance, Clare and I have just arrived in Mexico City and plan on heading south over the next few months before flying to New Zealand on a working holiday.

We have hitched a ride over the Burmese Border. Lived in a village in Southern India, Spent Hours and hours and hours travelling by bus boat and train, seen Orangutans in Sumatra, climbed the Himalayas and much much more.

We have many other stories to share some of which you can read on Clare's travel blog. www.thewayfarerdiaries.com

PHILOSOPHY

There is a huge difference between being a traveller and being a tourist! We both strive to be the former!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are currently looking to host a few people and actually start making use of this amazing site.

I am clean and tidy. Very willing to help out round the house and will try not to get in the way. I enjoy cooking and having spent lots of time in Hostels I understand the need to respect other people when sharing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's time to begin couchsurfing and at the moment the best way to do that is to start hosting! Who wants to be our first guest?!?!?

Interests

I am very involved in the Deaf community in the UK and have spent my whole life doing British Sign Language. I think of myself as a BSL linguist.

I enjoy going to the gym, riding my bike and generally just chilling out in my cosy little house on the outskirts of Manchester.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a Reggae lover! If its got a Jamaican beat then its my kind of music, I like films that make you think but I love a bit of brain fodder too. Something completely ridiculous so that I don't have to think!

Swings and Roundabouts!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving down a country lane in the south of england I put my headlights on and a white deer ran in front of the car. There are only 300 in the UK and 700 in the world. They are extremely rare and are said to be mystical creatures. all in all it was pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fluent in British Sign Language an I'm happy to share my understanding of the deaf world.
