Hello everyone! My name is Rikki. I am 23 years old (yes I am an adult). I am a proud Filipina. I am working as a part time Substance Abuse Counselor and a part time IT at my school library. I currently live in New Jersey but I am originally from the Philippines.

I love to travel. I love seeing new things, meeting new people, getting new perspectives, new challenges. I love people in general. I am very outgoing, friendly, lively, funny, enthusiastic, and I have a case of wanderlust. I am currently living with my parents and my older brother but I can make some accommodations if anyone wants to couchsurf on our turf haha!

I love sports. I play all kinds of sports (competitively too!) I love hiking. I always go on a hike whenever I can. I love going on dates with people (and yes, that meansmy meaning of 'dating' isn't just for romantic reasons only). I love getting to know people, their cultures, their values, their perspectives, their traditions, etc. or else I would fail as a Social Worker.

Oh! I am graduating on May 2017 ang getting my BSW and then going to NYU for my MSW and hopefully graduate May 2018! That means I am career/education driven and hard working (not to brag hehe).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

But since I'm still recuperating from my debts in school, I need a cheap place to stay when I go travel. Sometimes Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway helps me but ever since I found Couchsurfing, I was sold right away. I mean, who doesn't like free stuffs?! (If only plane tickets were free though haha!)

I don't usually travel alone. I always travel with my bestfriend. But there are some times that I just want to get away from everything and everyone so I started traveling alone. Well, I have only traveled alone once, but it was invigorating! I found a piece of myself that I didn't even thought it existed (don't worry, it's something good haha)

So hopefully, there will be some hosts out there who is willing to make my life easier when I travel hehe. I hate intruding anybody's place (even if you're my friend) so you need not to worry about me. I can come and go without you having to go through any trouble. I need a host who won't go the distance for me. A simple home, a hospitable host, a comfy bed, and a bathroom is all I need.

I might be asking for much but I assure you that I am very simple. And if you treat me well, I am gladly to return that ten times fold when you come and couchsurf on my turf, and that's a promise.

Movies: My all time favorite is Finding Nemo/Dory. Moana. Beauty and the Beast. The Little Mermaid... anything DISNEY!!!

Books: My favorite books so far are the books written by Leo Buscaglia.

I can teach Tagalog, how to play guitar, computer problems, and sports! :) That's me sharing knowledge/what I know as well.

I want to learn different languages even just the basics like "thank you" or "you're welcome" or "have a nice day" ...all the good stuff! Haha. I'm also information driven, it's a blessing and a curse. And I just love learning new things in general.

I can share nothing but experiences, real life stories, new perspectives, and cleanliness with hosts. I can be very quiet if I need to be. I won't do anything without the host's permission. If need be, I will do so with the best of my judgment. I'll keep my space clean and tidy, so hosts don't need to worry about that.
