About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn a bit of something from everyone I meet.

ABOUT ME

Just finishing up medical school in Chicago, about to head to upstate New York for emergency medicine residency this summer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I was in college, I roomed with a girl who had done CS while she was in Europe, so we hosted a few people at our place in St. Louis. Just started hosting again in early 2012 and had our first experience as surfers in May 2012!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted while in St. Louis a few summers ago, and have just started hosting again in Chicago. We surfed for the first time in May 2012 just outside of Seattle with three different hosts, and had a very different, but still excellent, experience with each.

Interests

My husband and I are both fans of hiking, board games, and bike riding, although he's a bigger biker than I am. I love reading the occasional trashy novel, particular in the sci-fi or fantasy category. We also collect functional pottery.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if it really counts as amazing, but I loved hiking Haleakala in Kaua'i. We hiked in and out along the same route, along with wandering around inside of the crater, and it was an awesome experience. We got a little lost on one if the trails that cuts through the big loop, which was a little terrifying, but it worked out all right in the end.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm (almost) a doctor (in training) and Ben is working on his PhD in math. But don't ask him about it. =p We're both on the Judaism spectrum, and enjoy talking about it to others that don't know that much about Judaism, or those that know a good bit but still want to learn more.
