ABOUT ME

I am always looking to meet new people and to have new adventures. Couch Surfing is the best introduction into a culture and is often far more authentic than staying in Hostels or hotels, as well as allowing you to meet amazing people from all over the world, so for me it is perfect. I have taken a year out of study to travel from London to Beijing via the Silk Road (Europe, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia and China). I am studying English Literature so i love reading but another great interest of mine is music. I go to many music concerts in London and also play and teach guitar. I always, no matter where i am in the world, carry my small traveller's guitar with me, so I don't miss playing too much!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am still new to Couch surfing and have not yet been able to host anyone, but i would love to give back to a community that gives out so much, so hopefully i will be able to host my first travellers very soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first time couchsurfing was through a friend in Kayseri, Turkey and i was immediately drawn into the whole philosophy and culture of the community. This is what made me set up an account. My experience is therefore still very limited, but i hope that before long, this will all have changed.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love almost all music, from classic bands like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, to traditional folk music, and also music from all around the world. The same also goes for books- I love almost everything from Victorian English novels, to modern american literature, to classical persian poetry. I am also very interested in film and love to relax in the afternoon/ evening and watch a film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo backpacking in general and all the things it has taught me. Most of all, i have been amazed by the generosity and interest of people from around the world, regardless of where they live, what they believe and how they live their lives.
