About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission which I have chosen to except is to experience as much of this vast and beautiful world as humanly possible with as small a footprint as I can manage. Also, to just be a good person and take care of my loved ones, not fuck people over and to enhance people’s lives with every encounter.

ABOUT ME

Always up for an adventure. I have a small Urban farm here in Oakland with great housemates. Fires in the back yard, Sunday brunches and art nights are a regular at my space. I love art, music and dancing and my quality of life would be diminished without them.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't fuck people over. Be good to each other and create beauty in this world.

Well, I can say that we (my fellow travelers and I) have been using that term and enjoying it's comforts and some un-comforts as well, for a very long time. It only makes sense that in these days, I can hop on a computer and find a couch to surf. Lovely.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical interest has no genre or boundaries. I like everything from The Dirty Three, Monophonics, Santigold, Stevie Wonder, Florence and the Machine, Sigur Ros, Yann Tierson, Tom Waits, Bauhaus, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Beirut, Clan Zu, Hawk and a Hacksaw, Neutral Milk Hotel, Nina Simone, Rudimentary Peni, The Pixies, Radiohead, Silver Mount Zion, Otis Redding, all things Mowtown and the list goes on and on.
When I was a wee one I loved everything Shell Silverstein. As an adult I like Science fiction as well as anything that will teach me how the body works. David Sedaris is always a fun read. I just finished "Wild Seed" by Octavia E. Butler. Currently juggling two books.

Movies. Too many to say but I guess my all time favorite is Dawn of the Dead by George Romero. Also, Children of Men, Harold and Maude, Princess Bride, Fight Club, 28 days Later, Down by Law,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the Inca Trail in 1999 and it was absolutely incredible as well as one of the most challenging things I had done until that point in my life. I've hopped Freight trains across the U.S and there is no better way to see it. I've truly loved and have been loved and that is a beautiful thing even when it doesn't last. I have overcome immense pain and have grown stronger and become better for it. I've raised an amazing child. and now I'm getting back on the road at 45. The older I get the happier and full of energy I am filled with. What a gift.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an experienced jeweler and multi media artist and love to collaborate on projects.
I went to school to be a Holistic chef. Cooked for four years professionally and I won’t do that again but I cook for friends.
Many friends have told me that I should get paid for my advice. I take that as a huge compliment.
Im incredibly honest and clear and have been told that it is refreshing and also jarring. Perspective and preference I suppose.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation. Life experience. A cocktail. Clean dishes. A super fun night of dancing.
