About Me

I just spent this last spring traveling across the US, and decided to settle down in Louisville, KY for a spell. I studied English and Middle Eastern Studies at Wellesley College, and consequently dream in Arabic and of British novelists. I'm a storyteller by nature, and love long conversations about almost anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and meeting new people and involving myself in new communities, all three things which are easily facilitated by Couchsurfing. The people I've met and the experiences I've gained through my involvement in the community have been phenomenal, and I'd love to be even more involved as time/resources permit.

Interests

Passionate about earl grey tea, international development, Ray Bradbury, and sundresses. I'm a crazy foodie, love to cook, and always up for a new culinary adventure, especially if it involves with with flowers and herbs (OBSESSED with anything delicate and floral tasting). I'm also a fan of thrifting, capturing memories with my camera, and crafting/DIYing every opportunity I get. The 1970s NYC punk scene is also totally where I geek out, and am always reading about it/listening to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job, leave my family/friends/home state behind, and move cross country, with no destination in particular, and end up in a town where I knew no one. It's been a wild journey so far, with spurts of adventure and pinches of loneliness here and there, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love opportunities to practice the languages I'm not yet fluent in, but am really shy about it. Sharing stories over cold drinks and warm food is always a good plan too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty good cook, and have plenty of stories I can share from my travels and life experiences. I'm also a decent photographer, so if you'd like some headshots taken, I'd be more than happy to oblige.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, England, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Singapore, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
