About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To eat, drink, be merry, play music, and love everything.
ABOUT ME
I am community minded and like to stay active as much as possible. I have a wonderful Pit Bull that is my sidekick. I like to welcome whoever I can, there's always something to learn from you.
Life has gotten wonderfully strange. I didn't know where I'd be at this point but I like where I am.
There are a few others that live here. They are family too. They're artists and musicians and writers and poets and activists and movers and shakers and philosophers and thinkers and they are my dearest friends. I know that sounds so amazing and bohemian. They're also bankers, chefs, and teachers.
And this guy: http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/yippy555/ lives with me too. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Breathe in nature even if it's in the middle of the city. Respect your elders, the Earth, and your mother... but not the man.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Own a home in Harrisburg that had been nicknamed The Harrisburg Hostel. It's not the best part of town but it's not the most dangerous either. People are coming and going all the time-surfers and friends.
Please, if you are going to request to stay with me, fill out your profile. It's kind of creepy getting requests from people with no info. Take the time and participate in the spirit of couchsurfing. Also, send an actual REQUEST, not just a message. I don't have time to read all my messages but requests I will respond to within a few days.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted for years and only surfed for the first time in Jan '10. I love hosting though. Meeting people from all walks of life and parts of the world keeps me going. I thrive on learning things from other people's experiences and love listening to stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to the Taj Mahal in India and got kicked out because the Prince of Norway wanted a private tour. Went to St Thomas Mount where St Thomas was martyred. Had dinner with an amazing Indian family behind their jewelry store. Got to hold a king cobra snake when the snake catcher came to our village. That was scary. Stayed up for 47 hours straight on the flights home cuz I couldn't sleep. :)
Backpacked through England and visited a bunch of castles and cathedrals. Climbed the steps of St Paul's and hung out in the Canterbury Crypt with some devouts chanting in Latin.
Have you ever smelled the air in the Scottish Highlands? You should.
Teach, Learn, Share
sew, cut hair, cook veganly (or gluten-free if you're intolerant), grow vegetation, know a lot about a little and a little about a lot. I really want to learn how to play the bagpipes.
