ABOUT ME

I am from a tiny province in the Netherlands, called Frisia. Lots of meadows, cows, cheese and milk :D I have been travelling for almost 4 years now in Asia, Australia and NZ. As I travel i try and stay in one place for a longer period of time to really get to know the vibe of the place, the people, and the culture. I really love teaching, and I have been fortunate enough to be able to teach English in both Australia and New Zealand now. And I met some awesome people in the process.
Meeting interesting people who liking riding the same waves is the greatest part of travelling and i try and learn new things as much as i can.

At my previous flat we hosted many surfers, now i occasionally still do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My old flatties mentioned couchsurfing to me. We've had quite a few people stay at our house and it's been a great experience. By now I've couchsurfed in NZ, Japan and China - it's been absolutely amazing. I love it!

Notice: French girl who stayed at our house in november 09, you left your red jumper in our bathroom! Was it a gift? (but it's not really our cup of tea..) Or should we take it to the Op-Shop? (nice n warm - turtle neck!) Anyhow, it now lives here, in case you want to be reunited with it. :)

Anything i am interested in? Jeez...
Ehh.. Music/Concerts (The cure, Powderfinger, the smiths, david bowie, CSS, Creedence, Kate Miller, Kate Nash, the beatles, Ben harper); travelling (doh); reading; tramping; scuba diving; wine; chilling in hammocks; socializing; showering; teaching; eating; iceskating (altho that ws 3 yrs ago); skiing; chilling out.... there's more, but i can't think of any at the moment.. this must suffice.
