About Me
I'm Rintaro Kokubo, from Tokyo, Japan and 20 years old.
I can speak Japanese fluently and English in conversation level to communicate.
I really like traveling both in Japan and abroad with associating the world history which the place i visit is concerned with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've ever traveled to 5 countries by taking part in setting tours.
But I was unsatisfied with those tours, because I wasn't able to have an opportunity to communicate with local people.
I want to know and communicate with local people more, so I decided to use Couch surfing service!
Interests
I'm into playing the guitar and traveling.
I wish I would come across various musics around the world!
And I find it a lot of fun to walk around the foreign city with local people with communicating in the local language which I make an effort to acquire.
In the future, I want to visit Siem Reap, Irkutsk, Tibet, Kamchatka, Valparaiso, Tbilisi and more!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is traditional folk music and rock music.
I always buy the local music instrument during the trip, attracted by such a folk song.
My favorite musicians are Curly Strings and Led Zeppelin.
And I love the novel “Adrift in the Pacific: Two Years Holiday”
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Mt. Fuji and climbed it taking 2 days when I was a high school student!
It was so demanding but now the memory of that experience makes me confident to do various things.
Teach, Learn, Share
My major is Financial Management and I'm studying it at Yokohama National University.
Psychology and International relations are my hobbies. I study them by myself.
And I'm interested in Agriculture.
Now I'm busy learning English to get a high score on TOEFL.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to have opportunities to introduce Japanese culture such as Japanese traditional music and meal.
Likewise, could you introduce me the traditional culture in your country? I'm really interested in it.
