Hello there, this is Rio, med student from Okinawa, Japan. My brief profile below.

- Born, and grown up in Okinawa. Graduated from public secondary school, high school and never lived outside of the island until 2016.
- Studied at Frederik II vgs, in Fredrikstad, Norway, as an exchange student (2017-2018).
- Currently studying at University of the Ryukyus Faculty of Medicine (2019-present), especially interested in tropical medicine.
- Studied parasitology at Institute of Tropical Medicine (NEKKEN), Nagasaki University (2021-2022)
- Last April studied at Thammasat University Hospital, in Thailand.

Although I do really enjoy learning in the fields of my interest, equally I love exploring new worlds that are completely different from mine. So please, share me your story, your experience. Since COVID-19 pandemic happened just when I first joined couchsurfing, I have been away from this community for a while, but now I'm back and looking forward to meeting new friends from the world! I enjoy meeting new people, learning more about your country, and your cultural background!
