ABOUT ME

Hi !!
Thank you for taking some time to read my profile. My name is Monica and I could describe myself as a born traveler. I left Peru at a very young age and moved to Canada. Since then, my life has been filled with great experiences (sky diving in the Great Barrier Reef, hiking in the Himalayas, meditating in the Northern part of Thailand, studying art history at Le Louvre) and most of all meeting absolutely beautiful people from all over the world. My next destination is Melbourne, where I'll be completing an internship for my MA in Museum Studies.

I love connecting with people, learn about their culture and share life experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm interested in surfing and meeting people for a coffee or a drink especially for those who share a passion for live band shows.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although, I've travelled and lived abroad for the last decade, this is my initiation to Couch Surfing. Many friends have had amazing experiences and since I'm always open to new ways of meeting people, I've decided to try.

兴趣

Traveling is my number one interest, but I love meeting new people, going to a live band show, visiting an art exhibit, going to the movies, practicing meditation and yoga, jogging, reading a good book and drinking tea.

I love music, listening to a wide variety of genre ranging from Chopin, Bach, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy, David Bowie, The Black Keys to The Roots.
My favorite books are Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts

I'm also a movie fan. Sofia Coppola, Wong Kar Way, Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar, Lars von Trier, Ang Lee" My last favorite movie was "The Secret in their Eyes".

Meeting and connecting with people and at the end of the experience, walking away with a friendship, something we can come back to in years to come.

I would be willing to teach languages and yoga. Would be nice to learn how to sing, how to draw or how to cook :) I'm interested in sharing conversations on music, movies, books, art and traveling of course !
