Hi there! My name is Risa :)

I was born in the Pacific, grew up a little in Japan and then moved to Texas where I spent most of my life :) I'm currently studying in the UK ! I am a second year undergraduate studying city planning and I am interested in sustainable development, smart cities and liveable urban spaces. I don't know exactly what i would go into but I'm interested in 'energy recovery' (waste to energy), food security, and sustainable public transport + cycling infrastructure.

I love falling in love with cities and cultures :) i do admit, I like touristy places, but I do have an appetite for secret places only locals know of!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I L O V E to travel and experience different cultures, but unfortunately I'm not very wealthy especially paying international tuition!

Aside from the financial aspect, I love meeting knew people because they carry a bit of the local culture within their heart and to get to know them is to get to know the beautiful culture of where they reside :)
