ABOUT ME

I was born and grew up in in Allahabad, a town in Uttar Pradesh with mythological and political significance, in a joint family. I have lived in three Indian cities viz. Delhi, Hyderabad, and currently Mumbai. Have travelled extensively around India including Andaman islands, Kerala, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Goa, Pondicherry. I am in love with this beautiful country which is a traveller's paradise.

You will mostly see me smiling. I have a very optimistic attitude towards life. I value the joy of small things and value human relationships.

Working in the development sector. Currently based out of Mumbai, working with an NGO called PATH to engage the private sector (doctors, laboratories, pharmacies) in tuberculosis control, especially in the densely populated slums of Mumbai. Our aim is to detect and treat TB patients over the next three years through innovative mechanisms. Have also consulted the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on tuberculosis control strategy in urban India.

I would love to host people, have conversations about my travels in India, and know more about their country and culture. There are so many countries, and cultures and speaking with fellow couchsurfers and knowing more about their lives is really interesting to me.
