About Me

After working in the computer industry for 10 years, I've recently taken a 2 year sabbatical to explore the world, redefine myself, and figure out how I want to spend the next 10 years.

I'm a quintessential city boy having grown up in sprawling Mumbai, but love getting away from it all when I can.

Huge foodie, novice cook experimenting with molecular gastronomy, movie buff, collector of stories and experiences, and a passable after dinner raconteur. I write when I'm not too lazy, I volunteer teaching computer science in high schools, and spend time in hospitals with terminally ill patients.

I'm looking forward to meeting interesting people, and learning more about the world from them!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What better way to connect with people beyond the confines of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram?

I've had the best experiences living with residents in the countries I've visited. There's no better way to truly appreciate a country and culture. Plus it's so much fun!

I also love hosting people, as long as they are willing to be test subjects for my cooking experiments :)

Interests

Reading, books, off-beat experiential travel, writing, rousing conversations, the perfect croissant, movies, scuba diving, all things nature ... I discover a new interest every couple of days

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a long time in Palau diving some of the best sites in the world. There were tons of sharks, tuna and other big fish. But the moment I saw my first giant manta ray sweep above me like a serene angel, I knew I was in love!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun stories, eager to have an engaging conversation on any topic (including politics and religion) and more.

Take me to the fun, crazy places in your city/town/village and dinner that evening is on me!

Countries I’ve Visited
