Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
find a place to live!!!
ABOUT ME
I'm adventurous, outgoing, spontaneous, and sometimes a little bit reckless.
I enjoy traveling all over the place, and bicycles are my jam. So much so, I'm currently in grad school for urban planning to make cities more bikeable!.
PHILOSOPHY
I live for adventure; i love stepping out of my comfort zone and I think security is an illusion.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed before with great results. I have never hosted, but I would definitely be interested once my living situation becomes a little more stable.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My most interesting CS story involves running through the streets of Vienna in the pouring rain when we got lost on the way to our host's apartment. Soaking wet, he let us inside and had beers and blankets waiting for us, and we had an awesome stay!

Music, Movies, and Books
The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat (or anything else by Oliver Sacks), L'Étranger, The Death and Life of Great American Cities, Suburban Nation, The Geography of Nowhere
The Arcade Fire, Mew, The Tallest Man on Earth, Bonobo, Thievery Corporation, Pretty Lights, The History of Colour TV, Cocorosie, Old Crow Medicine Show, and the Sunscreen Song
I LOVE documentary films, especially David Attenborough, Lixin Fan and Werner Herzog. Additionally, Howl's Moving Castle (or any Studio Ghibli), The Fantastic Mr. Fox, American Beauty, Love Actually. Mean Girls is a Guilty Pleasure.
I think that television should be permanently replaced with TED and NPR.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a native English speaker, and I can be a pretty good conversation partner when the opportunity arises.
In my former career I did some work in neuroscience, if you're interested in talking about consciousness, brain disorders or perception/sensation. I can show you some pretty cool imaging that i've done too. Eventually though, I decided that science was not for me, so I did a complete 180 and now I'm studying to become an urban planner!
Get a few drinks in me, and I will talk your ear off about cities, urbanism, cars, bicycles, and public transportation...
I can also make a mean red pepper and feta pasta salad :D
