About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become a cool grandpa with many stories to tell to my embarrassed grandchildren and their friends.

ABOUT ME

Hi visitor!

After 4 years of a rather quiet life as an expat in a small town in the Irish midlands, decided to leave the comfort zone and I am happy to be on the road again.

My plan for this new journey is to drift East, as far as possible, hopefully getting to Kamchatka..

On my travels I hitchhike all my way, for I find it to be the most effective way of getting to know unusually kind people and ending up in places you would never plan to go by yourself

PHILOSOPHY

Stay positive. Think twice before wasting energy on being upset on someone or something. To enjoy the limited time we have here as much as possible. To learn that things are essentially simple, that's the starting point for solving every problem we face.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is a tool that faciliates connecting with people all around the globe, help them and be helped by them. Although I am not particularly happy with the direction this site has been taken lately, it is still a source of good experiences.

However I am trying (and encourage you to try) other platforms aswell, such as Trust Roots, Be Welcome and the good auld Hospitality Club!

I try to stay active on the site by occassionaly attending to meetings, surf when I travel and whenever I can my doors are always open for fellow travelers..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed, hosted, traveled, drunk, meditated, partied, laughed, made plans, cooked, swam, jumped, did stand ups, cycled, dumpster dived, ate ice creams, played football and some other things with a bunch of nice strangers.

Interests

Travelling, books, music... I (kinda) play guitar and tried to study some piano.

I like science in general, so any questions and or discussions on physics, electronics, immunology, etc. are always welcome!

Music, Movies, and Books

Road literature, science books, books that will teach you something...

Music: Radiohead, Beatles, Muse, Pink Floyd.. Rock in general. Argentinean music like Tango, Folklore and so on. At this point, Irish music must be also added to the list... Still, always, open to offers ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think this is the type of things you talk about over a beer or cup of coffee, right?

Teach, Learn, Share

Simple things.. I can teach you some guitar, and some spanish maybe? I know a couple of nice recipes aswell. Can prepare decently good "mates" (the Argentinean way, i.e., the real way ;)

Learn... I'm willing to learn whatever you are willing to teach or share.
Being more specific though, at the moment I would welcome any tips on how to sing, photography and piano... so if you are skillful in any of these areas you better be patient and prepared for a lot of questions ;)
