Hello, I am Rita from Portugal, more specifically the north. I am turning 20 in december. My favorite color is black. I am kinda of a basic person, I share many thoughts and interests with many people. I have a boyfriend named António, whom I adore and maybe talk a bit too much about. And I also have 3 siblings and a cat named Charrisca. I would like to appreciate the smaller things more, because I need to always be doing something so I feel like with CouchSurfing, I would be able to start enjoying things that I don't in a daily basis because there would always be the discovering factor. 🌸

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ever tough I never participated in this community, I feel inspired to do so, because I want to know new perspectives and experiences from people living in different countries and having different life styles. I think this is a fantastic project and I am eager to be a part of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, I think I mostly read classing and some light mystery. Some of my favorite authors are Earnest Hemingway, Robin Cook, José Saramago, a Portuguese author. And my favorite book is The Perfume.
My taste in music is vary varied, I love Portuguese rock (which I am very proud of), The Velvet Underground, classical piano songs (I played the piano), etc. I'll admit that movies is something that I am lacking in, I like Space Odyssey, Climax by Gaspar Noé which are basically just movies recommended ny my friends 😅. But I am always down to see a great movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have read a 1200 page book. Can't think of much, I hope I'll have more things to add in the next years!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a homemade meal whenever needed, I wouldn't say I am a great cook but I can make food 😄. I would love for someone foreign to try "Rancho", one of my favorite tradicional portuguese foods. Obviously, the cleaning is mandatory. I can also join you on any adventure or activity that you have in mind, because I think that's a big part of Couchsurfing, seeing things with a local perspective.
