Hello,
My name is Rita! I am currently living in Medowie, NSW Australia. I just moved here from Portland, Oregon at the end of March and will be traveling back March 2018. My goal while being in Australia is to explore as much as I can and meet as many wonderful people before going back home. I am currently an Au Pair for a sweet family.
This is my first time using this app, I have never "couch surfed" before; but, I heard that this is a great option for people who want to explore and learn about the cities on a whole new level rather than just taking a tour bus.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I would like to meet a local(s) who can show me places around the city. Taking a tour bus is one thing and so is staying in a private room in a hotel. I feel that they way to learn is to be with people who can know the ins and outs. I can only learn so much from a tour bus. Making the connection and meeting people are way better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is Life. If I could afford to attend a music festival every year, I would. The first Music Festival I went to was Paradiso (2014). I just turned 18, a few days before. It was probably one of the best things I could ever attend. I met so many wonderful people there. Music can bring people together, 3 days out of the year where you don't have to worry about your troubles. You can escape, and just press pause.

Movies, I like most movies. I am currently invested in Marvels. I love horror movies and having a beer while watching.

Books, I love to read. I don't read as often as I'd like; but, when I do I can never put a book down after picking it up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Australia, knowing no one, to be an Au Pair for a family that I have only meet through face time twice and planning to live my 12 months with them.
