About Me

Hello fellow couchsurfers :) I'm Rita, 22 y/o from Germany, currently living in Rennes, Bretagne and absolutely loving it! I'm in my second ERASMUS-semester in political science, I will (hopefully) finish my BA next year back home.
My biggest passions are probably music and travelling. After a year in New zealand after school I keep getting nervous when I didn't see new places for a long time, so I'm travelling as much as possible. There is no day going by without me listening, talking about or making music, which goes well together with visiting new places and people :) very looking forward to explore couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been travelling via hitchhiking, hostels and air b&bs, the next logical step seems to be couchsurfing, and I'm very excited to give it a go :) Friends of mine have been loving this travelling alternative, and I think I'll love it too :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My all-time-favorite band is Oasis (I know, I know, Wonderwall is corny, but they are still the greates band!), and I've loved Mando Diao, the Arctic Monkeys, The Verve, Foals, Beach Fossils and DIIV for a long time now. I keep exploring new kinds of music and enjoy going to concerts of bands I haven't heard of before.
My favorite book is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, if you haven't read it, give it a go! It's a lovely book. Within my minor subject, which is English, I naturally read a lot (and basically everything) from classics to dramas and poetry). Same goes for movies, but lately I enjoyed to explore old tiny indie-cinemas which you find a lot in France :)
