About Me

I came to Europe to study Masters and then do a PhD. All this to become the best teacher in the world. After 14 months, I decided to become a college dropout instead. In a few months I will be going to some very under resourced areas in India and living with the family of a school student there.

I count my experiences as much more valuable than a degree or any other piece of paper.

I am highly optimistic and hope to create a Utopian society.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to meet new people ( in most cases, like minded people from different cultural background). Couchsurfing helps traveling become more personal, more meaningful.

Interests

Varied interests ranging from sports to Politics to Cultural History. Teaching is the thing that gets me excited the most. I teach Zoological Physics as a student assistant.

I play cricket for my University team at the Bundesliga. Yes, there's a Bundesliga for cricket. I do a lot of travelling, the best trip was travelling to the Himalayas. Tried my hand at a lot of 'safe'adventurous sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

Indian classical music, biopics. Some of my favorite movies include Saving Private Ryan, Good Will Hunting, A few good men, Dead Poets Society and plenty of Indian movies. Favorite actors: Tom Hanks, Jim Carrey, Kamal Hassan. Favorite quote: " About Travelling; is it running towards something or away from something? " .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When all my friends were requesting for overtime to get the extra pay, I resigned in a more symbolic fashion. Decided to never work only for money.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyday is an experience. Learning about life from other's experiences is smart. Learning from our own experiences means making our life an experiment. I experiment with my life.

I teach zoological physics. So we can talk about how to locate earth like planet in another solar system, we can discuss how a dolphin jumps out the sea to say hello to us.

I am leaving college education to unlearn everything I learnt and re learn with a much better attitude. As Ron Clark said, 'Let's learn to love to learn'.
