About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm half-Peruvian half-German and grew up in Nigeria, Africa. I currently study anthropology and Hispanic studies at Aberdeen Uni, Scotland, and recently becoming the founding director of "Inverted: Circus and Pole Fitness Ltd", the 1st circus and pole fitness studio in the North-East of Scotland!
I'm a typical Gemini: I enjoy being alone and I like a good party. A friend once said I'm travel-light and an uncomplicated traveller, which was nice. I'm very jetset (my backpack is either always half-packed or I didn't really unpack it since my return) and I like to think I'm a nice & happy person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing to me is all about showing one another that there is still good in the world. I'm on couchsurfing because I believe people are fundamentally good, and because I think it's an amazing way to meet people you'd probably normally never meet. If you want an authentic experience in a country: couchsurf. If you want long conversations about things you maybe never thought about: couchsurf.
Interests
Nature, mountains and the ocean. Hitchhiking. Travelling. Eating. Flying in planes, riding in trains, and I (really) like long bus rides. I love collecting myths, superstitions and urban legends. I'm fascinated by ethnobotany, Latin American shamanism, the Beat Generation and good coffee. I like plants a lot.
My hobbies are reading, writing, circus arts (preferably aerial stuff), computer-nerdy stuff and blogging. I love a good party, a good zombie / superhero film, a quiet night, the moon, Ray LaMontagne, Ani DiFranco and good literature. I love finding bookshops / coffee shops in foreign cities with wifi.
I also really love food and fitness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2015, my two best friends and I started our own company in Aberdeen. It's called "Inverted: Circus and Pole Fitness" and we are now proud owners of a beautiful aerial and pole dance studio, with 13 contractors working there. I teach aerial silks from Beginner level to Advanced, and have learnt so much about managing a team and a business. I love my work.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am very passionate about anthropology, circus, world literature and Latin America, and eager to talk about it over many glasses of good wine. I am happy to share my home-baked bread, share my love of Scotland, show my guests around the city (maybe even the Highlands, if there's time) and teach them to fly at my studio! I am eager to discuss food & fitness, and share my recipes for healthy shakes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to travel, so I am happy to talk about world politics, world literature and anthropology. I hope I can offer fun & cheeky conversation for calm nights, and be a good dancing buddy on crazy nights.
