About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to break free from my small hometown and become a world traveler!
ABOUT ME
I went to Duke University, but I'm a Gator fan at heart. I recently moved to LA and I'm so happy to be here, yes, despite the traffic! I love adventures and traveling, almost as much as I love cooking/baking. I will be studying abroad in France this upcoming semester and I look forward to absorbing a new culture and trying all the new food! I like meeting new people and making people laugh is one of my favorite pass-times. I also like photography, singing, acting, and playing volleyball.
PHILOSOPHY
There's no thrill in easy sailing when the skies are clear and blue,
There's no joy in merely doing things which any one can do.
But there is some satisfaction that is mighty sweet to take,
When you reach a destination you thought you'd never make.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
No couch yet, I will participate by offering up my own couch if anyone wants to visit LA? haha
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a new member of this community, and I look forward to surfing and meeting new people :)
Interests
Music, the arts, theater, photography, cooking, playing volleyball, watching soccer, trying new things (especially drinks :), and meeting people, and laughing. I believe that a day spent without laughing at least once, is a day wasted.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very eclectic taste in music. I listen from everything including: Sia, lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rascal Flatts, Gavin Degraw, Fall Out Boy, Mumford & Sons, Kid Cudi, Childish Gambino, Vampire Weekend, Cobra Starship, Liszt, Eric Whitacre, Jay Z, Bill Withers, John Coltrane, The Black Keys...and the list goes on and on. I believe every category has good and bad music, so you have to be open to all genres. I love either critically-acclaimed movies, or comedies because I love laughing. My favorite movie list is constantly updated, but my new top two are The Social Network and The Fighter. A lot of books that I read now are for academic purposes but the last narrative I fell in love with is The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to see a showing of the opera Faust in French at the national theater of Costa Rica. It was magical.
