ABOUT ME

Hello,
My name is Riva and I am a soon to be 28- year old part-time traveller.
I am half German, half American and Munich (Germany) is my home. My home meaning that I have gone to school there, studied there and had the luck to find a good job there as well.
I have worked in quite a "traditional" german industry, the automotive undustry, as a project manager in marketing of international events and fairs for about 5 years now.
I love my job and hometown, but I also know that the world has so much more to offer than what I am exposed to everyday: culturewise, new people, new mindsets, languages & habits, landscapes and timezones....
I have loved traveling ever since my first small adventure, when I left my family for 6 months at the age of 13, to stay with a host family in the States.
Ever since then, discovering new countries and venturing away from home has become part of my "soul" so to speak.

Interests

Although my work is mainly computer-based, I love "handcrafts": sewing is my biggest passion. I started a small business, selling african wax print clothing online and supporting an NGO that I am a member of with it. But in general I love everything handmad (refurbishing furniture, painting houses, cooking,..) , and would love to have more skills.
Also I love music and singing, this might be my dad's side, who was a musician. I love the outdoors, almost any kind of sports, picked up surfing a few years ago and am eager to imporove :-D

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the Rings, New Girl, Game of Thrones, BBC Documentaries, Mad Men, I like moies rather than series,... everything expect horror movies,...My taste in Music is too wide to write down- but ,...everything danceable from latin american, R&B, Afrobeats, Electronic, Reggaeton,...as long as I can Sing a long,...love festivals of all kind (The people you meet!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I design and sell fashion, so I could teach you how to sew :-) I'm a pretty decent cook...Also beacause of my job, I am quite good at organizing stuff,..travels, parties, weekends, ...
Learn: I love Languages! Love to LEarn and love to speak to someone who's learning.

Share: Hmm,...I guess everybody teaches people in their surroundings,..I'm a good listener and people say I give very pragmatic good advice
