About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Play outside, get fresh air, enjoy homemade ice cream.

ABOUT ME

I've gone down the rabbit hole of a new career as a teacher and I'm already looking forward to the holiday breaks so that I can hit the road and see the world.

PHILOSOPHY

A venturesome minority will always be eager to set off on their own, and no obstacles should be placed in their path; let them take risks, for Godsake, let them get lost, sunburnt, stranded, drowned, eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches - that is the right and privilege of any free American. - Edward Abbey

Sometimes it takes courage to be kind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I may not be able to host couch surfers at the moment, but I am always excited to meet up with travelers, go for a walk around town, grab a beer or a bite to eat, or even more of a mountainous adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed my way across the States a few years ago and activities have been dormant since.

Interests

I love playing outside, especially kayaking, rafting, hiking, biking, climbing, etc. I also enjoy cooking reading, music, photography, listening to Radiolab, laying in the grass on a warm day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first bicycle tour: Rockville, Maryland to Asheville, Norty Carolina via Skyline Drive and the Blueridge Parkway. INCREDIBLE. I wish I had a granny-gear on my bike (my knees were shot for a while after).

Also, my students amaze me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning languages and want to be able to communicate in the local language wherever I go. Please teach me a fun/silly or useful phrase!

I love to cook and will gladly share recipes.

I have been learning how to juggle and how to do tricks on aerial silks. I am still a beginner but I want to learn more!

I can teach you how to ski or kayak.

I can also use marshmallows and a lamp to demonstrate the changing phases of the moon.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Germany, Greece, Macedonia, Morocco, Nicaragua, Serbia, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
