CURRENT MISSION

I'm reacquainting myself with UK life right now, and looking for a job to keep me here for a while. I'd really love to find somewhere to stay for a month or so in Newcastle, while I do that!

ABOUT ME

I've had a bit of a circuitous route in life so far, I guess. I had a few years out after school to travel, act, work, sing, dance, au pair and think (in varying combinations), before settling into a degree in International Development in Norwich, UK. I've since worked for NGOs abroad, most recently in Ghana and am now back in the UK working out my next steps. I like to sing, dance and trampoline, among other things.

PHILOSOPHY

I lay bricks, one at a time, to build the life I want to live. The wall may not end up as square or neat as others, but it will be my wall and I will love it.

Sometimes you have to jump off the cliff to see how far the fall is...

I'm also a big performance fan, so always up for going to see something new, whether it be drama, music, storytelling, dance, or any combination of the arts.

Musica, film e libri

Music wise, I tend to be a bigger fan of the folkier side of things, but do dabble with many a genre. Afrobeats, reggae, Balkan, ska, swing, Cajun, soul, motown... And Beyonce, of course.
Most of the books I enjoy the most deal, in one way or another, with a culture or country other than my own. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Khaled Hosseini, Yaa Gyasi...

I abseiled down a 100m waterfall in Mount Elgon NP in Eastern Uganda. That view was just something else.
