Overview
About Me
I grew up near Chicago, and have been living in Berlin for one year. I'm half-Norwegian, and have also spent a lot of time visiting and living in Norway.
I'm an artist, and I have had many other jobs to support my art. Currently I work as a nanny in Berlin, and last year in Oslo I worked as a kindergarten teacher. I love working with my hands and working with kids, and I especially like making art projects with kids because they're so creative.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a really good way to meet individuals in a foreign place, and learn how they relate to where they live, and thus learn more about the place. And when I host, I learn more about where I live, too.
Interests
I'm interested in learning. I listen to a lot of music and interviews on the radio, I love reading, drawing, going to museums, going for walks, the aquarium, and riding my bike. I love being in nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked on the Appalachian Trail for two months in 2010, something I never thought I'd do.
I had a great summer in 2012 where I lived with a friend in a cabin in Blue Ridge Mountains, in North Carolina.
And in 2013 I traveled throughout Norway, photographing the summer light.
My year in Berlin has been very interesting, and I guess I find it amazing that I've found a way to live here.
