About Me
Hello all! My name is RJ and I am a recently Returned Peace Corps volunteer now working at Microsoft. I was teaching English in Mozambique for two years, and got the chance to see a lot of sub-Saharan Africa while I was there. Before Peace Corps, I was a graduate student studying Portuguese literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, so I am fluent in Portuguese! I also speak "Portinhol" very well, a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese, but I do not speak much Spanish. I also speak a little French and basic Hungarian. I am new to couch surfing and have always wanted to get into it! Super excited to be joining the CS community. I am a huge world traveler. I have lived in Budapest, Hungary and Belo Horizonte, Brazil, both for a year at a time. I have 5 brothers and sisters, so I know how to share spaces well. I love doing outdoor activities and have recently gotten into rock climbing. I am an avid yogi and enjoy running, swimming, and biking as well. Anyways, I would like to believe I am good company and I do love sharing coffee and/or beer with good people and having interesting conversations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Getting to know the CS community! Hopefully I will be able to host soon as well!
