About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Doing my little to make this world a friendlier place.

ABOUT ME

As a kid lived in several countries around Europe and in America (USA and Panama). Still go around quite a bit for work and pleasure. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery but after a few years in a teaching hospital I went to work in IBM Research and in IT thereafter. Have a great passion for photography, good food, volleyball, kid's movies but above all love relaxed company of friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Be truthful, try to be good to others, love my friends, hoping that random acts of good will make this world a better place for all of us.
Some quotes I like:
"We don't see things as they are; we see things as we are." Anais Nin
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind” – Dr. Seuss

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Understanding the dreams and the fears, the needs and the interests of a fellow human being is something I find enriching. I do not know any better way to get closer to a culture than through its people !
Will do my best to host people with a genuine interest in meeting and knowing each other. Showing you have read my profile and understood my constraints will go a long way towards getting hosted. I am turned off by brain dead cut and paste messages, especially when they address me with the wrong name !!! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most people coming by have been GREAT! I dislike people thinking CS is only a free sleeping arrangement. I treat my hosts with care, respect and sympathy and like them to blend in my "normal" life. Simple and honest, huh ? :)
Saying goodbye to some of the wonderful friends I met has been a little hard, but as a consolation I'm sure we'll meet again some day ! :)

Interests

Photography, sailplane flying, music, cooking and tasting local foods, traveling of course :) reading, astronomy, walking, cinema, archeology, volleyball, medicine, geology etc etc
