One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Anytime I harvest over a ton of vegetables. The Earth gives all that is needed.

Teach, Learn, Share

Mushrooms could help save the planet. Paul Stamets and his crew at Fungi Perfecti have been working on mycoremediation, which in one form is the use of mycelium to break down environmental toxins to their more basic forms. In some cases mushrooms can be harvested and sent to facilities that can recycle these basic metallic molecules. Mushroom fruitbodies concentrate heavy metals. Do not eat non-organic mushrooms. It is worse than mercury in fish. Some species have been effective in breaking down petrochemicals and oil. It might be prudent to ask him and his colleagues for some effective mycoremediation tips for the gulf oil catastrophe.

I would like to learn more about aquaculture and hide tanning. Their are enough tannins in any mammal's brain to tan its own hide.
