About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Help people travel
ABOUT ME
Part vagabond, part scientist, part dreamer. I like to discuss ideas, see alternatives, and debate the merits with myself (or anyone else who's interested). I like meeting new people and seeing things from a different perspective. I'm respectful and accepting and get along well with most people. But I am also a minimalist and a DIY'er. I enjoy cooking, working on bicycles, tinkering with Linux, and spending time outside.
PHILOSOPHY
There is more to life than increasing its speed.
-Gandhi
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room.
African proverb
A good plan executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week.
-George Patton
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a surfer and a host. I also attend CS meetups and mixers when I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I meet amazing people through CouchSurfing. So often it's instant camaraderie from shared experiences of traveling, surfing, hosting, and mishaps along the way. I stayed with many wonderful people across the United States and Mexico and have never had a bad experience.
Interests
Seeing new landscapes, meeting new people. Cooking! Eating! Hiking and camping. Goofing off. Combinations of these things :)

Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about plants, animals, conservation, and ecology. If you're curious, ask. I'd love to share what I know or learn something new. I also enjoy working on mechanical things. If you have a computer problem, I can probably help. Mostly I am interested in sharing food, conversation, and a place in time with other interesting people.
