ABOUT ME
I've always been the "social organizer" among my friends, bringing everyone together. I love to be with people in any setting, especially when travelling to a new place. I'm very interested in cities and the urban fabric of a place, and the folks that live in a city are the most fascinating part of that.
PHILOSOPHY
"No regrets"... well that, and "Everybody Wang Chung tonight!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have learned the most during my travels by experiencing life through the eyes of local people, and there is no better way to do this than by staying in another's home. I hope that I am fortunate enough to have many more opportunities like this, and I will always be willing to share my home and time with others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started out with CS in the summer of 2008, when I was hosted by several awesome people in D.C., Annapolis, Philadelphia, New York City, and Providence, RI. Since then I've met many great Couchsurfers all over the country, and I look forward to doing the same in other countries as well. I hope to return the favor to others in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
I haven't seen many movies lately, which is ironic now that I live in LA. I've got a few friends that DJ around town-mostly old funk and soul stuff-and that's always a good time. I still enjoy some old Southern rock, blues, and zydeco from back home.
Good travel writing is a favorite (big surprise), and I'm a bit of a sucker for Hemingway. I recently 'Shantaram' by Gregory David Roberts, which is a giant epic about the dark side of Bombay/Mumbai. Pretty solid
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always willing to share what I've learned through travel experiences or in the classroom. But I'd like even more to learn from others. That's the main reason I'm trying to connect with others through CS.
