About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore the role and significance of arts and creativity in diverse cultures.
ABOUT ME
I love spontaneity, adventure, creativity, and imagination. Visual and performing arts have always been a very important part of my life. I am very interested in exploring how the arts can be used to promote understanding, communication, community building, and social justice through raising awareness about issues, forming social movements, and cultivating empowerment. I am studying this through an interdisciplinary degree and now a year-long travel grant in Bolivia.
I enjoy learning from other people, laughing, talking, hiking, being in water, exploring, dancing, biking, cooking and eating, listening to stories, painting, drawing, doing trapeze/acrobatics, watching and/or participating in theater, reading, and sitting in quiet places.
PHILOSOPHY
I really believe that if at all possible, we should always go with what inspires and makes us passionate and happy even if others disaprove. I think we contribute the most to the world when we're in our element and doing what feels right to us personally.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I stayed with some wonderful when I was last traveling (2008-10) in Guatemala and the US in Colorado, Arizona, and Washington. I have had an available couch at various college houses in Bellingham WA in the past few years but timing has not worked out to host anyone. Wherever I live I will continue to make my home available to CSers. Now I will be in Bolivia and possibly other parts of South America for the next year and I really look forward to connecting with people through couch surfing.
