About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Sometimes I feel like my life is short on descriptive words ... I want to change that. I want to be able to describe attributes of my friends, how I feel, what I see.

PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had extensive experience over the past seven years since 2007. I have had more experience hosting than CouchSurfing experience though I have surfed some.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After thinking about this question for a while, I keep coming back to these experiences: 1) While assisting for a personal growth course, Heart of Now, I took a 22 foot dive into a plunge pool next to a waterfall of Whisky Creek at the invitation of the land's host, then proceeded to dive off it again about 10 times more thoughout the rest of the weekend. This after being, up until then, mildly afraid of swimming or diving into 'natural bodies of water'; 2) Walking through the desert from Las Vegas to the Nevada Test Site along a highway while also assisting other walkers during a Nevada Desert Experience peacewalk in 2003; 3) Being Medical Crew Leader of the AVON Breast Cancer 3-Day (for multiple years); 4) Being Medical Crew Leader for the California AIDSRide 9; 5) Living at the ecovillage Lost Valley for three years; 6) Being a part of the couchsurfing / permaculture / climate change groups in Sacramento; 7) Planning, climbing and glissading on Mount Tallac, Pyramid Peak, and Mount Shasta; 8) Being a Boy Scout; 9) Finding Ancestral skills gatherings; 10) Finding people with narcolepsy on the internet then going to the Narcolepsy Network Conference 2011 held at the Stratosphere (where I did the SkyJump); 11) Being a part of Heart of Now (when it was at Lost Valley); 12) Bicycling out my front door in Sacramento, with only the stuff on our bicycles and then seeing Black Butte, Crater Lake, glaciers in Glacier Park and all the beauty inbetween.
I enjoyed impromptu biking downhill here on a desert biketrip through Oak Creek Canyon that turned out to be over a hundred miles over 2 days.
I have also contributed to the relief of discomfort and taught health care information to many people, contributed to lengthening the quality of life and relief from pain for some people, and saved a few from eminent death and destruction.
