About Me

I love travelling. After I graduated university I travelled to every capital in the EU (https://i.redd.it/nwcmpapzkv3z.png). During that journey I discovered a joy for teaching English so when I returned home I got myself a TEFL qualification. I then travelled Nusantara for six months where I found out how much fun driving a scooter across a volcano crater is.

After speaking to many people on my travels for advice I went to China to teach English. I stayed there for one great year before packing my bags to travel again. I hitchhiked in Japan for two months, from Sapporo to Kagoshima, visiting over 40 prefectures. I took a ferry to South Korea, spent six weeks there and then flew to Taiwan.

Unfortunately my trip was cut short in Taiwan and now I'm back in Scotland for the near future.

Note: I have an eating disorder (ARFID) so I have a limited diet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Previously from January to May 2017 I travelled all across Europe, aiming to visit every capital city in Europe (which I did all but Belarus, Russia and Iceland). Unfortunately during this trip I hardly used couchsurfing, only in a few places. I really enjoyed the times I used it, so now I am hoping to make more use of it.

When hitchhiking in Japan I was able to stay at the homes of many of the generous people I met and I really enjoyed the experiences.

Interests

There is no place I am more comfortable in than in an debate or discussion, anywhere from the trivial to that which is clearly beyond the scope of two random people.

When I'm not travelling I am usually on my computer that I put together myself, either gaming, consuming media (books, TV shows, movies) or socialising, perhaps even all three at once.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's difficult for me to ever choose favourites. Probably The Lord of the Rings trilogy for movie, perhaps Confessions (the Japanese one). In terms of reading I enjoy fantasy and sci fi primarily, though I am currently on the search for recommendations. I'm all over the place on music.

I write down all the books, TV shows and movies I consume:
