I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, a world-class city full of culture, incredible food and a booming business center. I graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Accounting and spent 5 years working in Fraud Investigation and Internal Audit before I was laid off.

A need to get out of the cold, and get my life back on track, took me to Texas and I've been in the beautiful Hill Country every since. I've been a Social Media Manager for the last 5.5 years, helping my clients serve their clients and grow their bottom line via social media.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to have fun and make sure those around me have fun too!!! I enjoy meeting new people, learning all about their journey to who they are today and experiencing them in their natural environments, hence my desire to CouchSurf!

Interests

Dancing is part of my DNA! Been dancing since I came out of the womb. Hehehe. I've taking ballroom dancing classes and it's my secret dream to be a competitive ballroom dancer.

Travel is also in my blood. Nothing brings more joy to see all the places in the world that I've only seen in the movies. And to learn about the people of that land.

OH! And I really love FOOD!!! So I'm open to learning the recipe you're most famous for!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I love anything with a good beat. This spans the gamut from Neil Diamond to Ne-Yo. Country, Salsa, Hip Hop, Oldies, R&B, Pop, 80s Rock, Classical, there's really not much I don't like!

MOVIES: I'm a huge action or romantic comedy movie goer! I like explosions and fights on the big screen. Or seeing the leading man and lady fall head over heels for each other. Nothing better than seeing the guy get the girl in the end! 😀

BOOKS: Personal development books and biographies of successful people. I'm always looking to expand my mind!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and about 30 of my friends got together, raised about $50,000 and went shopping for 80 kids who live in an orphanage in Belize. Hahaha. Talk about a SHOPPING SPREE (And the rest of the money went to food, a new school bus for the orphanage, a few cows and other expenses. 😀)!

We then packed everything up and traveled down to Belize to spend Christmas with the kiddos. It was so awesome to see all the kids wearing their PJs and opening gifts on Christmas Eve. Their smiles and the joy in their eyes gave me life! It was a time I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach dance moves, for sure. Been dancing since I was a little girl and I've taken some ballroom dancing classes. Let me know if you want to go for a twirl!

I also have a background in accounting and in social media. I welcome answering any questions you have about either topic and give a quick tutorial on how to use the power of social media to better connect with people!

I've also been to 24 countries and have had some crazy interesting and booty breaking (funny story actually) experiences that I will gladly share!!!
