Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION to remain a student at UCA until I die.
I am currently a student at UCA. My major is Personal Happiness. That mandates that I do nothing stressful. No tests! Homework when I want.
I have no plans to graduate. UCA allows me to live my life to the fullest.
As of now (July 2019) I have taken 170 hours in the last four years. Mostly Anthropology, Psychology, Philosophy, Religion, History and Biology.
ABOUT ME
I was a camping canoeist. I was fortunate to have the Buffalo National River so close. When it flows, it is a canoe camper's dream. When it doesn't, the Ozarks have several excellent spring fed camping streams including the Current and Eleven Point in Southern Missouri.
PHILOSOPHY
Never stop learning.
Be respectful of nature.
Be willing to accept new ideas.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy meeting new people. I have had some amazing couchsurfing experiences.
Intereses
NOW: Student at UCA taking courses that interest me and loving it.
WAS: Canoe camping. Outdoors. Sharing it with others. Then I began losing the use of my legs
FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS: Trying to pin down that very elusive thing called truth.
- outdoor activities
- canoeing
- camping
- school
Música, películas y libros
Books: Pre UCA: anything related to paddling and nature(human and otherwise). Now, anything related to what I am studying at the time. I am not much of a reader.
Movies and music: produced long before most people today were born.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I was born late in life . . . when I bought my first canoe in 1999. That opened up a whole new world and has enabled me to live . . . not just live but to flourish. Prior to that, I existed.
And when my legs began to give out, thanks to my couchsurfing granddaughter, I found UCA and school is now what makes life worthwhile.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
We all encounter Cognitive Dissonance. How we handle it makes the difference.
The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the more we will strive to justify our belief.
We hear what we want to hear. We block out that which challenges our belief.
Truth becomes irrelevant.

“If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things.” - René Descartes
