About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel with a deeper connection to my host country. What is it like to LIVE in the place I'm visiting?

ABOUT ME

I LOVE to travel, and have been traveling internationally since I was about 11. Once when I was 23 years old I counted the number of countries I had been to. Coincidentally the count matched my age. Thus began my goal of traveling to a new country for every year of my life.
I'm a teacher devoted to the California public schools. My goal is to improve learning in the public schools, and develop more respect and prestige for the incredibly complex, challenging, fascinating, dynamic, and intellectual profession that teaching is.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to find the perfect balance between activism and contentment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to participate by couch surfing while I travel during the summers, as well as hosting and showing people around the beautiful place I live during the school year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had only positive experiences as a host. I've made friends from all over the world, and have learned Chilean, Indian, and Spanish home cooking. What more could you ask for?
