I love my dogs, and I love to be outside doing anything. I hate having my picture taken (hardly ever let even my family or friends), so you get to see my pups instead.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have both hosted and surfed using CS.org, wonderful experiences all around.
And before I knew about CS there was the time I was staying with someone ....and the air mattress kept deflating just as I was starting to fall asleep.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not much into movies but I like watching drama or mystery tv shows.

Musicwise, I like punk and folk with a message, primarily by female/queer/feminist artists. Sleater-Kinney, Ember Swift, Quails, Gossip, Ani, Sarah Dougher, Bonfire Madigan, Fugazi, Riot Grrl, Distillers, Anti-Flag, Propagandhi, Los Sobrios Emputados, Kris Delmhorst, Destroyed By Kittens.

Getting into spoken-word a bit more lately: Andrea Gibson, Alix Olson, Oracle Lady Speech.

Books: Derrick Jensen, Audre Lorde, Barbara Kingsolver, Isabel Allende. Books about activist movements, trying to learn more. Currently reading a lot about los desaparecidos in Argentina, the dirty way, trying to learn more about my own history.

I just got back from the most amazing fall foliage I've seen in Greensboro, NC.

I can fix bikes.
I'm self-taught developing web sites and using graphic design software.
I'm trying to get better at spanish-english-spanish translation work, so I can practice by translating your document.
