We might either settle down in Kelowna or keep travelling and head to South America on a cycling trip. Tough decision!

ABOUT OUR TRAVEL
Hi! We are Rachel and Maxime, a couple from France. We both turned 30 years old recently !
We have been granted with a 2 years Working Holiday Visa in Canada and it is our 8th month in beautiful British Columbia!
We landed in Vancouver in June and started to travel straight away: we bought 2 bicycles, some camping gear and headed up to Vancouver Island where we spent most of the month of July cycling. It was great! We then rode our bikes from Vancouver to the Oakanagan Valley where we worked a couple of months in an organic farm. We ate a lot of veggies! At last, we cycled to Nelson, from which I am updating our profile. We are in Nelson for about 4 months now, mostly working and skiing.

We love to discover countries, meet people and share mutual travel experiences.
we mostly travel with the Working Holiday Program. It is a specific visa for people under 35 years old.
We spent 2 years in Australia, travelling in a station wagon car, matress at the back, all around the country, discovering the beautiful landscapes, the dangerous animals and the friendly people! We loved it and we miss the australian sun! That was in 2012 and 2014

We then went a year in New Zealand and it is where we tried for the first time cycle touring: 4 months of cycling from Auckland to Christchurch. It was awesome and it is why we are doing it in Canada too!

On the way to those far-away destinations, we usually stopped in Asia, about a month in each country (China, Vietnam, Thailand, India): very different cultures and a so interesting life style, there are many things to tell about it!

It is now time for us to experience Canada! We enjoyed the past 8 months meeting great people and so far we saw a lot of animals along the way of our cycling trip too: dears, beavers, eagles, marmots, wild goats, squirells, and eventually some black bears!

We want the adventure to keep on going!...

ABOUT US
We are both non-smokers, responsible, tidy and open minded people.
We shared many flats/houses with other people and we are used to it. we 've also done a fair bit of Help exchange (especially in Australia) using Helpx website. We also got invited in New Zealand along the way of our cycling trip, using warmshowers website, a great thing for touring cyclists!

Any help from couch surfing hosts will be really appreciated!

Couchsurfing is such a great way to meet warm hearted people and to learn about the culture of a country! Travelling makes us feel alive! We used a similar website when we are cycling called warmshowers: we love it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not long ago, we tried cycle touring in New Zealand, about 3000kms in about 4 months time across the two Islands, and we loved it! We wanna try it again in Canada during the summer

We adapt ourself quite easily and if there is a chance to help our host or to spend a good time together, we won't miss it
