About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel around the world with my motorcycle, meet interesting and friendly peoples to share experiences and create new local & international relationship.

ABOUT ME

French Canadian from Québec living in the amazing Canary Islands. I am an extroverted person, sociable and open-minded. I like discovering and breaking frontiers while respecting other ones and mines. Living abroad is always a rewarding experience.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. Hoping to reach more than 100 countries of discovery before kicking the can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am always attracted to persons with something to tell and share. My organised and rational side of personality combined with my Going With the Flow side incited me to practice this new way of traveling. Unfortunately, I did not surfed too much last couple of years ...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried CS for the first time in Sept. 2010 across USA on motorcycle trip (8770 km in 22 days and 11 nights hosted by CSurfers)...wonderful, meeting great CSurfers..making new friends. It was no doubt the 2010 discovery...I will renew the experience for sure. Met CSufer Betty in Spain with my kids in Spain in 2011 and a group of fantastic peoples in Panama City in 2012.

I travelled in Europe, USA, Middle East and Africa since the 80's.

Interests

Long motorcycle rides going with the flow discovering new places. I am always planning trip around the world on BMW GS. I am a tireless observer of international relation for almost 30 years with a special interest on Middle East, former southern Soviet union states and now Africa. I am a little bit more than an amateur on this field and like to share with others on those subjects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The birth of my two children, the most amazing experiences of my life. They are now in college and University and performing well on their passions, relationships and they have great dreams. Traveling, travelling and travelling alone, with my lovely Maria or with my children in Europe, South America and Africa. Scuba diving in the Red Sea and Florida Keys, parachutism one time (not the last I expect). Learning Spanish and living in Canary Islands is probably de most amazing experience of the moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do not pretend to be a specialist in something in particular but I listen others to learn. I may also spend a lot of time around a famous diner and a good bottle of red wine speaking and sharing about experiences, travels, food, politics, history, geography, social behaviors and how to built a better world, etc....

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belgium, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Finland, France, Germany, Guinea, Italy, Mali, Mauritania, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State
