ABOUT ME
I'm a London girl, kind, super-chatty, fiesty, smiley and... after 15 years of on/off travel, I'm back home in London. I just came back from 4 years in Indonesia. Wowowoowow!
Travel addict. I made it my life :)
I was a High School teacher, teaching English Literature . Many amazing moments every day. I got to be creative and controversial : fantastic :)
Am a solo wanderer and like my own company but also have a lot of time for people and am super sociable. I believe in being courteous and enthusiastic. That's important :)
I am a very passionate and dynamic person who also indulges in quiet reflection. I love existential philosophy and asking unanswerable questions. I consider myself quite self-aware and articulate but I love to be around people who challenge (nicely!) my ideas, prejudices or preconceptions and shed a new light on things.
Looking forward to some great new experiences on home turf :)
PHILOSOPHY
I endeavour to immerse myself in life as deeply as possible without drowning :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: the cheesy romantic stuff or the hardhitting stuff. Either way you end up in tears ;)
Music: Cafe Del Mar, Ministry of Sound, Chillout and House.
Books: I used to read a book a day (geek!) but this has lapsed horribly :( Hoping to return to my days as a bookworm soon :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got lost during a trek in the Himalayas in India. We knocked on a random door, the family didn't speak English, they let all four of us stay and fed us. Hospitality, quiet smiles and understanding. The epitome of humanity.
Teach, Learn, Share
Are you a realist? Let's meet! I'm a pathological idealist so I'll welcome your balance :)
I can give some advice and/or share my ideas on travelling solo, female solo travelling, overland Asia travel, being an expatriate in a developing country, being a teacher, renovating houses, journalism ( both old careers! ) and head vs heart dilemmas :)
