ABOUT ME
i was born in atlanta, georgia, USA. now, 22 years later, i am living in tours, france as an english assistant. ive got a real passion for languages, culture, and the world in general. i love people. i love meeting people, sharing with them, learning from them, and having a good laugh. i enjoy going out for drinks, going for long walks, museum hopping, photography, reading, going out dancing, and trying new things. i love being spontaneous, and living in the moment.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is the most beautiful, divine experience and I'm so blessed to exist right now. It's a blessing, as are the many faces I meet along the way. I grow with you, and because of you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For the moment I am a surfer. I surf the couches of the open and accepting, haha. And I spread the word about Couch Surfing to all my other gypsy friends who travel as much as I do. And I'm always free to show you around Tours if you come to visit!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couch surfed twice thus far using the couch surfing website, but I was surfing with friends long before that!! Last summer I was basically a roaming nomad, staying with friends throughout Atlanta (by choice. my parents also live in Atlanta).
Using the website, I have stayed with Paolo and Roman in Amsterdam. I was there for about a week total and Paolo took me in for 2 nights, and Roman took me in for 3. I contacted Paolo first through the website, told him the dates I was coming, and he hooked me up with Roman for the second half of the week since he was leaving on a business trip. The two of them worked together, so that worked out great.
I've not yet had the opportunity to host anyone! I moved to france almost 7 months ago and I'm conformed to a small 10m2 studio. When I return to Atlanta, however, I'll most definitely open my home!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This past new years eve I spent in Berlin, Germany 2007/2008 at the brandenburg gate with two of my dear friends back from my hometown in America. They were the first visitors I'd had from home since moving to france 3 months before. It was the coldest I'd ever been in my life, we ate some of the best food Id ever had in my life, and New Years was monumental!! They say your New Years celebration is a reflection of the year to come... well, 2008 is going to be an amazing year!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I learned how to make sushi the second time I ever couch surfed. I was in Amsterdam. I probably make sushi about once a week now. For me, the best souvenir I can ever take away from any city or country is a bit of culture. A life lesson. A bit of the language. These things stick with you, add character, and make you a more open minded person. More than stuff ever will, thats for sure.
