I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. I love learning about local flavor and culture. I’ve served 20 years in the USAF and traveled the world. Exchanging of life stories is important to human connection and I think there are always new connections waiting for us. I would like to break away from the norm and try something new, and that’s why I’m here. Maybe I’ll become a better human being in the process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First off I must say, if you are only looking for a free place to stay I'm not interested in hosting you. There is more to CS than a free night in my home. It's a SHARED experience. My guests are like family and treated as such. It's an opportunity to share a bit of yourself with others. If I look forward to meeting new people and learning about their journey. My only expectation of my guests is a willingness to spend a bit of time telling me about their story, journey, travels. This is the main reason I use CS. Music, Movies, and Books

Ohh, lots. Wizard of Oz is my fav book. Currently reading: With Winning in mind - Mental Management system.
Movies include -Mary Poppins (I’m a Disney nut), The 5th Element, Aliens, Goonies, Dazed and Confused, lots of international films and anything Sci-Fi/Horror/Thriller. I'm an honorary Browncoat as well. I love going to the movies!
Books - I love fiction written by JK Rowling, EAP and Stephen King. Any writer with wonderful imagry and descriptive writing. I also enjoy non-fiction military stories like The Bridge Over the River Quai, Battle of the Bulge, Lone Survivor, etc. Also classics like Dracula, Frankenstein, and Anne of Green Gables or works by Jack Frost and even Shakespear. A little of everything really.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I "surf" in your home as your guest, I will arrive with a small gift from my region of the USA. You will quickly see that I am a polite, clean, respectful, and considerate non-smoker who enjoys meeting new people, having lively discussions, and helping with household chores. I will be grateful for everything you do for me and whatever time you spend with me. I will not expect you to feed me or to clean up after me! However, if you do invite me to join you for home cooked meals, I will ask if you'll let me help with food prep, if I may wash the dishes, AND if I may help pay for the cost of the food. If I cook something for myself I'll always offer to share it with you. It would also be my great pleasure to treat you to an American style meal that I'll cook for you, or to a shared meal and beverages at a local restaurant near your home; your choice! Oh, and I am very helpfull in the garden.
