Hello I'm Rob, I'm originally from Enschede, Netherlands. I have traveled extensively around the world, and chose Mexico to live in. Here I've been living with my family for more than 20 years now, and am probably going to stay. My wife, Vilma is from Guatemala. I taught languages for 10 years, worked in health care, and for the last 7 years I've worked in craft beer. Through the company I work for now we sell my hometown brand Grolsch throughout Mexico.

I am trying to go to Europe every year and hope to see a little more of the countries I barely visited when I was younger, and not lose touch with my friends from back in the day. Traveling on a mexican peso salary can be a bit overwhelming, and I am also a bit worried about stranding somewhere in a city in which I don't know anyone. I don't want this to hold me back, and hope to meet people through this network that can help me out. Also I like to meet travelers from elsewhere who would like to come and visit our beautiful town of Morelia, Michoacan. I know the news about crime here is not always positive, but believe me you will enjoy your stay.

I have taught and can teach English and Dutch, and also a bit about Buddhism. And I guess Spanish, though I haven't actually taught that yet.

I hope to share travel experiences, maybe do some activities together. I like food and good beer. I can share my business experience too. In Mexico I have many contacts, I can take you around. We have a room in our house with a couch you can sleep on, and we have a country house we can share.
