Before this summer 2017, I never made time to experience the amazing leisure activities my friends were telling me about because of my 80-90 hour per week schedule from about 2009 to 2016 (https://www.linkedin.com/in/robtraubjr). I was a small business owner and am taking a 1+ year break from working. I closed my office in 2016 and am now trying to fill my time with as many unique experiences, such as couchserfing.

I'm a versite individual who is intense at times and competitive by nature.
Now, I'm REALLY into the local social scene. I'm actively building my social network. My friends can tell you that there is never a dull moment with me and I don’t let myself or those around me get bored. I can always come up with some spontaneous plan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my friends introduced me to a few of his couch surfers who ended up being smart & fun to chill with. With my time off work this summer, I want to have as many cool experiences as possible. I also thought it would be a great idea to use couchserfing to learn about people from other countries without encuring the cost of traveling abroad.

From the couch you can walk to a festival at the Summerfest grounds, the beach, restaurants, and the park across the street. Enjoy dinner with fireworks on the rooftop terrace. If you want a different scene, there are bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants from fine dining to a comfortable dive atmosphere all within walking distance.
